At the same time, not all players understand what exactly the cost of a particular skin depends on. You need to face the truth – there is simply no single answer to this question. Most often, it all comes down to the rarity of a particular skin, as well as the beauty of its visual design. There are several really expensive and rare skins that are a welcome addition to every player’s inventory.
1. Souvenir SSG 08 | Detour
This skin has a rather interesting and “deep” history of popularity. Back in 2014, at the DreamHack Winter tournament, the Swedish team Fnatic on the Overpass map often used a new at that time boost, consisting of three players at once, which made it possible to kill an opponent’s player who rushed the sewers together with a scout in the opening of the match. In one of the games, it even helped to snatch victory from the enemy, returning from a score of 3-13. It was during this match that the skin in question was dropped by several viewers, and complete with unique stickers. Note that the triple boost made a lot of noise and even a trial was initiated to establish the legality of its use. But the skins remained with the players and received a cult status.
2. StatTrak™ M4A4 | Howl
Probably, only the most real beginners in our favorite game have never seen this fiery skin, which attracts attention from the first seconds. Like the previous Scout coloring page, it has its own history. Initially, the skin under the M4 was created by the artist solely as a work of art, but the developers liked it and was added to the game. When the author found out about this, he sued Valve, who had to first remove it from the public domain, and then return it in a slightly modified version so as not to disappoint the players who really liked it. It is noteworthy that the rarity and beauty of this skin regularly increases its value, and therefore it consistently remains one of the most expensive in the game.
3. Souvenir AWP | Dragon Story
This must be the most famous and popular type of sniper rifle skin among professionals, while it is considered very rare and expensive. But what made it so expensive and desirable? First of all, this is a way to get it, because you can get the history of dragons only from a special souvenir case. Another opportunity to become the owner of the skin simply does not exist. At the same time, no one guarantees that by buying the appropriate set it will be possible to get what you want. In fact, there is a very small chance and not everyone is lucky. Note that the case fell out exclusively on the Cobblestone map, but after it was removed from the official pool at professional tournaments, it is no longer possible to get a case. This made the skin in question even more rare and expensive, which means that each owner needs to be prepared for a reasonable start and admiration from other players.

4. Dual Berettas | Blue Quartz
At first glance it may seem that there is nothing remarkable in this set of pistols, but this skin in factory quality is very rare and desirable. It was added for the EMS tournament in Katowice 2014 and the cases with it were handed out only in the final match between VP (still Polish squad) and NiP (the same legendary five). At the moment, there are no more ways to get your hands on double Berettas, and that’s why they are so rare.

5. Souvenir Tec-9 | Nuclear Threat
As you can easily guess from the name, such weapons drop out only on the Nuke map. Due to the fact that this card is played relatively rarely, this Tek-9 is not often drawn, and this is true for all conditions. Of course, it can be bought on the trading floor for objectively fabulous money. But it’s much easier and more realistic than trying to knock out the skin in a “natural” way.
6. Souvenir P250 | Nuclear Threat
Like all other “Nuclear threats”, this is a rare skin, which is very, very difficult to obtain. According to objective statistics, the player has only a little more than one percent to get it in factory quality. Due to the rarity, it is quite difficult to determine its objective value, so each seller determines it independently.
7. Glock-18 | Gradient
In fact, this is the most beautiful and best skin for this weapon on sale. However, there are only two levels of quality, namely “factory” and “minimum wear”. The rarity and cost of the coloring is formed due to the fact that you can get it only by buying it from another player.

As for its rarity, the reason is similar to the Tale of the Dragon.
13. M4A4 | Poseidon
Most often, weapons that do not belong to the souvenir category? distinguished by its availability and low cost. But Poseidon for M4 can be considered a clear exception to the established rule, because due to the beautiful design, its cost reaches 130 or more thousand rubles. It was possible to get such a weapon during the operation “Bloodhound” by knocking out the “Gods and Monsters” case. This is not surprising, because the skin with the name “Poseidon” simply could not be somewhere else. It is not on sale, and therefore you can become its owner only by buying it from another player, or by offering an exchange of comparable value.
14. Desert Eagle | Flame
Everything is known in comparison, and therefore the average price of 42 thousand rubles for such a gun does not seem very high. Especially if you take into account such an important factor as the epic look, which makes a strong impression regardless of the quality of the specific weapon. He would have deserved attention in any case, even without regard to rarity.

This is a real masterpiece, which you can become the owner of “only” for 30 thousand rubles. In this case, the skin became popular and “rare” solely because of its excellent visual design, and not any other related factors.
16. M P7 | Snowy Haze
Even being ready to pay any money conditionally, finding factory quality is very difficult, not impossible, but guaranteed to take a lot of effort. True, the time spent and about 37 thousand rubles is definitely worth it, because the skin in the game looks like five plus.
17. StatTrak™ P90 | Emerald Dragon
The actual cost of this skin varies around 100 thousand rubles. The reason is that it is exclusively in the Bravo case, which has now been discontinued. If you want to try your luck, you can try to buy the case itself for 3-4 thousand rubles, or you will have to wait for an attractive offer on the trading floor from other players.
