If not all, then very many players faced the problem of blocking in CS:GO. Some of them deliberately violated the established rules, while others fell under the sanctions completely undeservedly. In this article, we will consider in detail the types of blocking, their causes, as well as ways to help avoid an unreasonable ban.
CS:GO LOCKS
There are 3 different types of bans in our favorite game today, and each of them is given for very specific reasons.
1. For leaving the game on their own during a competitive match, or because of the multiple killing of allies.
All players definitely faced this type of blocking, because in a hundred or two matches there were guaranteed situations when there was no way to finish the game. Now the player is blocked for 30 minutes, 2 hours, a day and a week for each subsequent exit. Moreover, at the moment, the sanctions have been significantly mitigated, since earlier it was possible to get a weekly ban for a couple of exits from the game. And the reasons are absolutely not important to the system, whether it be problems with the Internet, a conscious exit, or even a failure in the operation of the CSGO servers.
2. Warning block caused by incorrect behavior during the game. If a player’s matches are sent to the patrol with enviable regularity, he can receive a prophylactic ban lasting 40 days. Also, the reason for blocking can be insults to other players, simple AFK and inappropriate behavior that interferes with the game of other users.
We emphasize that a player receives such a ban only if, during the review of the demo, the patrol notices actions that violate the established rules of the community. At the same time, there are many controversial situations in which representatives of the patrol can take the side of the player or, on the contrary, satisfy the request in the complaint from the teammates.
If the prophylactic ban does not give the desired result and the player continues to misbehave, he will be given a VAC ban. Therefore, it is better to take the path of complete correction.
3. V AC-ban. This blocking is given forever and is almost never subject to appeal. With it, it is impossible to enter and play on the official Steam servers. Note that sometimes a VAC ban is given for several games at once – it depends on the type of cheating software used.
WHAT YOU CAN BE BANNED BY THE GAME
In addition to the patrol, where cases are handled by real people, the game has its own automatic blocking system that records the number of incorrect actions performed. After crossing a certain milestone, the player is automatically banned for some time period.
Consider the following situation as an example. During the game in competitive mode, the player accidentally kills two allies with one shot from the WUA. In the next match, an unsuccessfully thrown Molotov cocktail starts burning another ally. Even the mere fact of receiving damage can lead to an immediate ban.
Note that the game itself in such situations bans only in the selection of games. This means that the player loses only the ability to search for official matches in competitive mode, while the rest of the possibilities remain available to him.
- Killing players from your own team. Such actions will very quickly lead to blocking in the selection of matches. At the same time, if the murders are committed by accident, it is possible to challenge the automatic blocking by proving one’s innocence. By the way, you can smooth out the guilt for killing your own due to a high KDA.
- Frequent hits on players from their own team. It’s not uncommon for players to forget to look at the map or ignore information from allies and start throwing Frag Grenades and Molotovs not very well. In any case, the system will record all the damage inflicted on allied players and, after exceeding a certain limit, will inevitably issue a ban.
- Long stay in AFK mode. In previous versions of CS, the kick of an idle player was left to the discretion of his temmates, but in CS:GO everything happens automatically. Moreover, it is enough to stand still for only 1-2 rounds and you can find yourself on the start page that opens when you start the game.
- Premature exit from the game. Despite the fact that this is a relatively minor oversight – it is seriously punished by blocking. Moreover, this applies even to situations where the exit is due to a failure in the Internet or incorrect operation of the official CSGO servers.
- A player is often kicked out through a vote within the team. Usually, the allies decide to get rid of the player if he behaves inappropriately or does not make a useful contribution to the team’s result.
- Spamming votes for kicking players. This is regarded by the system as behavior with a clear anti-social character. Naturally, such actions are blocked by blocking.
WHAT THE PATROL CAN BAN YOU FOR
It’s no secret that the patrols are made up of the most ordinary players who watch demos and choose punishments for one of 4 reasons. Here they are:
1. Help in detecting opponents. Playing with additional software that allows you to see through walls is completely prohibited. Moreover, the actions of a player with WallHack enabled are definitely striking, and if the patrolman sees several ambiguous moments, then he has every right to issue a ban by clicking on “There are good reasons”.
2. Help in aiming. Here everything works similarly to the previous paragraph. If several moments are fixed with the unambiguous use of an Aim-assist, a ban is almost inevitable.
3. Other auxiliary techniques. For example, a stretch (bunnyhop) is under lockdown, as well as a full reversal bind. In fact, many tricks are considered prohibited and you should definitely be familiar with their list.
4. Obstructing normal play. This item includes killing allies, idle time in AFK, leaving during a competitive match, insulting in voice chat, and much more.
IF I HAVE BEEN BLOCKED FOR NOTHING
Often there are situations when players get banned solely by “accident”. Then you have to deal with the following three points.
1. Did the player allow other people to use his account? If the answer is yes and your companion has committed some illegal actions, then it is your account that will be banned. Today, this is precisely the policy of responsibility, because otherwise players can be too frivolous with their accounts.
Of course, the player can file a corresponding complaint. But usually the support service cannot do anything, except for the very fact of ascertaining the use of cheating programs.
2. If the VAK ban was received by real accident or mistake, it will be removed within a few days. For example, this practice was often used when the official steam servers were often hacked, and all players on them immediately received a permanent block.
3. The use of scripts containing a piece of cheating programs identified by the VAC system. Also, the use of ambiguous software can lead to a ban.
WHERE TO WRITE TO UNLOCK
Practice shows that getting a permanent ban is a fatal coincidence. Of course, you can write a request to the technical support service, but in 99.99% of cases the player will receive a response that his letter has been sent to the appropriate department for consideration and that’s it. After that, the appeal can be processed for years without any actual result.
If we turn to history, then during the entire existence of CSGO, only about a hundred players managed to justify themselves from the decision to VAK-ban, providing evidence that their account was hacked. Naturally, few people have the ability and desire to collect an evidence base without a guaranteed positive result for themselves.
HOW TO RELEASE A TEMPORARY OR VAC LOCK
As we have already found out, it is actually impossible to get rid of the blocking. If we are talking about a temporary ban from 30 minutes to a week, then it remains only to wait for the expiration of the period.
As for the VAK-ban, if it is not removed automatically within a week, it will remain on your account forever. Any requests for support will either not give a result, or end with the answer that there are no unmotivated locks.
