Once upon a time, even the very fact of the transition of the COP to a new engine was considered by the community with skepticism and was more like a rumor than something realistic. But everything is changing, including our favorite game, and therefore, we should soon expect the appearance of almost the most global update in the entire history of CS:GO. It also became known that in addition to the transition to a new graphics core, we are waiting for the renaming of the game.
Therefore, it is worth starting to mentally prepare for the fact that very soon we will be players in CS:GO 2, working on the basis of the Sources 2 engine. It remains only to understand when the now inevitable changes will become available to the general public.
CS2 release date?
Quite late in the evening on 03/21/2023, the developers puzzled fans by suddenly changing the company logo on the profile picture – CSGO was removed from it. At first, representatives of the gaming community thought that this was due to the imminent release of a new update.
To some extent, they were right, because the next day it became known that in the summer it was planned to publish a global update of the game, designed to transfer it to a new engine and, as a result, significantly change many of the already familiar gameplay mechanics.
When can we expect CS2?
This time, Valve acts completely in his repertoire – there is no single date for all regions. The exact time floats due to the fact that the product of a well-known company is equally popular on all continents and in all time zones. This means an inevitable sag in time, exceeding ten hours – depending on the relative position of the two compared points.
Separately, we note that all updates to the game are released exclusively during the working hours of the company. In practice, this means that the European region should tune in that the most important update of the CS of recent years will become available from 21:00 to 03:00 the next day.
But so far the exact date is not publicly available. We only know that the release will happen in the summer of 2023. But on what day it will happen is still a mystery.
